Welcome!

The Model A Ford is a historic part of the development of the American motor car and of the American heritage.  Nearly five million Model A Fords were built in just four years, from 1928 to 1931. The Central Iowa Model A Ford Club, founded in 1961, is dedicated to the restoration and driving of Ford Model A's.

There are usually events every month, along with a summer tour schedule of one or two day fun rides. Our best known event is the Great Annual Model A Ride Around Iowa. This tour is typically a 5 day, 500 mile tour, held every September, with each year highlighting a different area of Iowa. What a great way to experience our beautiful State!

The Meiners family has been proud members of our club since 2001. They own a beautifully maintained 1931 Model A pickup and a 1982 Chevy S-10. Residing in Des Moines, they share a deep passion for history. Pat played a key role in preserving the historic Des Moines train depot, which has since been transformed into a vibrant venue.
